MEET CLARE
Clare signed her NLI in November of 2021 and will continue her lacrosse career at Millersville University, playing at the Division II level in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC). She intends to major in Business with an English minor.
On the field or the courts from the age of two, her drive and determination earned her spots on several teams since 4th grade. A three-sport athlete and versatile player, Clare was recruited by her first club team as a goalie in 2014. From there, she participated in multiple club programs, developing her skills and playing in every position on the field.
Finding her strengths on attack, she made varsity as a freshman at Cranford High School and started in all 17 games, finishing the 2019 season as the 4th leading scorer with 24 points. After missing her sophomore year due to the pandemic, she went on to become a two-time Team Captain in 2021 and 2022 and team leader in goals and assists. In her final 2022 season, Clare led the team to a conference championship and finished her high school career with 83 goals, 67 assists (150 points), 65 ground balls, 16 caused turnovers, and 5 draw controls. Additionally, she earned 1st Team All-Conference and 1st Team All-County honors, was named Athlete of the Week, won both the Cranford Booster Club and Cranford Lacrosse Club Scholarships and ended up 3rd in program history for assists.
Previously, she was selected to play in the 2019 Maverik National Lacrosse Classic on the New Jersey 2022 team and prior to that, she recorded 45 goals and 11 assists during her 2018 middle school season, reaching her milestone 100th point and ending with a 12-0 undefeated record.
"Quick movements, smart play with and without the ball, great field vision describe Clare. Coachable and a leader on the field. Precise stick work due to her work ethic."
