Though her first love is lax, Clare enjoys competition and plays multiple sports.

 

Originally a defender, she quickly gravitated to the goalie position in soccer and went on to win 1st place in the 2015 Girls U12 Intercounty Youth Soccer League. Earning a spot as goalie on her middle school team in both 7th and 8th grades, her team was undefeated in the fall of 2017, with Clare and another goalie allowing only 11 goals in 12 games. She was the starting freshmen goalie at Cranford High School and Team Captain in 2018  and selected as Team Captain again in 2020 on the JV level. As part of the CHS JV soccer team in 2019, she won the Union County Tournament and finished her soccer career at CHS as a senior in 2021-2022.

Her basketball career began on a coed team at the local YMCA in 2nd grade. Grasping the game quickly, she played on championship teams, taking home the 1st Place trophy for Girls Recreational Basketball in both 2015 and 2017. She was selected by her 8th grade basketball coach as a 'Coach In Training' (C.I.T.) and assisted during a week-long basketball camp in June 2018, managing daily activities for over 130 campers. Her basketball career continued on the freshman and JV teams at Cranford High School through the 2020 season.

 Looking for a change and a lower impact sport, Clare joined the CHS Varsity Swim Team and competed in both the 2021 and 2022 seasons in the 200 and 400 freestyle relays and 200 medley relay.
